UniTrain-I multimedia courses on electrical machines encompass the entire spectrum of electrical machines. The motors are characterised by their open, accessible stators. These are built onto experiment cards and thus allow a detailed view of the internal design of electrical machines. In addition, the open design makes it possible to exchange rotors quickly and without tools. 

Students taking the course are familiarised with the physical principles, the operation, properties and basic circuitry for various machines. In many experiments the machines are put into operation and their electrical properties measured using multimeters and oscilloscope, control units are set up and the safe usage of electrical machines is reinforced.
